Alessia Cara’s Ready for a “Magical Christmas Celebration”

Disney/Mark AshmanAlessia Cara is one of the many stars performing on this year’s Disney Parks’ Magical Christmas Celebration, which airs Christmas morning on ABC.  But the Canadian star says if it was up to her, she’d perform at Disney World every single day of the year.

“I know this sounds really cliché, but it is like the happiest place, honestly, on Earth,” she says. “I don’t know…there’s something about the energy here that’s so amazing. So what better place to spend the holidays than somewhere that just makes you really happy?”

She laughs, “I love it here. I would, like, work here every day if I could!”

Alessia is performing “Holly Jolly Christmas” on the special and says she’s “just really happy to be a part of something that I actually watch every year.”  The singer, who joined the Disney family this year when she recorded the end credits song for the movie Moana, adds, “I just love getting in the spirit of everything and I feel like Disney does that really well.”

The Disney Parks’ Magical Christmas Celebration airs Sunday, December 25 on ABC at 10 a.m. ET, and in addition to Alessia, the lineup also includes Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Gavin DeGraw and OneRepublicDancing with the Stars pros Derek and Julianne Hough host the show.
