Bebe Rexha says first headlining tour will be “something really dope”
ABC/Matt BrownBebe Rexha released her debut album All Your Fault: Part 1 a few weeks ago, and tonight in Dallas, she’ll kick off her first-ever headlining tour. What can fan expect? Something special, the singer says.
“To me it’s very important for it to be something visually, kind of like, stunning, and I want it to be a show,” Bebe told ABC Radio when the tour was first announced. “I go to a lot of museums and I’m inspired by a lot of different stuff…I want to do something fresh and different and it’s gonna be something really dope.”
Bebe’s now got her very own hit with “I Got You,” but she’s been involved in many others, either as a songwriter, featured artist, or both. Those hits include Eminem and Rihanna‘s “The Monster,” David Guetta‘s “Hey Mama,” Iggy Azalea‘s “Team,” G-Eazy‘s “Me, Myself & I,” and “In the Name of Love” by Martin Garrix. Bebe says she plans to perform her own versions of some of these songs during the tour.
“I love doing that because I like telling the story, the background of it — a couple of songs, not all of them, ’cause then that would be just, like, weird,” she laughs. “But, yeah, I’d love to sit there and sing my original versions, because people still sometimes still don’t even know and they’re like, ‘What? Why is she singing this song?'”
Bebe’s tour wraps up March 30 in Washington, D.C., but she plans to do another tour later this year, she tells Billboard.
All Your Fault: Part 2 will be out in April.
