Britney Spears Announces 12 More Dates for “Piece of Me” Residency

Denise TruscelloBritney Spears is hitting us one more time with brand new Las Vegas residency dates. The singer has announced 12 additional performances for Britney: Piece of Me.

The new shows at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood kick off August 9 and run through September 2. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m. PT.

There are still tickets available for her previously announced shows in March, April and May.

Britney: Piece of Me, which has been running since 2013, recently topped $100 million in ticket sales.  

Here are the new dates:

August: 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 23, 25, 26, 30
September: 1, 2

DC Comics(LOS ANGELES) -- DC Comics' black superhero drama Black Lightning has found a new home at The CW.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new series -- written by Being Mary Jane creator's Mara Brock Akil and her husband/producing partner, Salim Akil -- has moved from Fox to the CW for a formal pilot order. The couple are also set executive produce the project.

The comic book series Black Lightning, which debuted in 1977, was one of DC Comics' first major African-American superheroes. If the drama moves to series, it will be the second to feature an African-American superhero as its lead, following Marvel's Netflix series, Luke Cage.

Similar to the comic book, the hour-long drama is set to center on Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero who might have to reclaim his secret identity after his daughters get caught up in a dangerous life.  Pierce's superpowers come from his ability to create and manipulate electromagnetic fields.

The CW is already home to the DC Comics-based series Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.

The Oscar-winning singer will kick off his Darkness and Light tour May 12 in Miami, Florida, with Grammy-winner Gallant as his opening act.  The tour comes in support of John's album of the same name, which came out December 2 and features the single "Love Me Now."

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m. local time.  Every pair of tickets you purchase will include an option to get a copy of the Darkness and Light album.  Special "enhanced experiences" are also available during the tour, from Meet & Greets to a special tasting of John's LVE wine collection.  Visit CIDEntertainment.com for full details.

Before the tour, John will attend the Oscars, where he may go home with yet another trophy: his company Get Lifted Films has an executive producer credit on the movie La La Land, which is the favorite to win that night.
