Britney Spears “Hits Rock Bottom” in Lifetime Movie Trailer

Katie YuThe first official trailer has been released for Lifetime’s Britney Spears biopic, Britney Ever After.

The clip focuses on Britney’s infamous 2007 meltdown and shows scenes of her being followed by paparazzi, performing on stage and shaving her head. The pop star is played by Natasha Bassett in the movie.

“I’m not going to say I was fine, because I wasn’t,” Bassett as Britney says in a voiceover. “Everything’s just kind of this blur, you know. Until you hit rock bottom.”

“I want to be strong for my fans,” she adds. “They’re what keeps me going.”

Britney Ever After premieres on Lifetime on February 18. The film has not been authorized by Britney.
