Calvin Harris Releases Computer Glitch-y Video for “My Way”
Conor McDonnell/Columbia RecordsCalvin Harris takes us into the world of virtual reality in his music video for “My Way.” The clip features the DJ-producer dealing with a disintegrating relationship — literally.
The video takes place in a digital world and uses computer glitch effects to make Calvin’s love interest disappear in front of his eyes. The futuristic visual was directed by Emil Nava, who also worked with Calvin on the clips for his hits “This Is What You Came For” and “How Deep Is Your Love.”
Of course, people are already finding alleged references to Calvin’s ex, Taylor Swift, in the video. Some websites, like E! News, posted scenes from Calvin’s video that seem to resemble scenes from past Taylor videos. Is it a stretch? Or could Calvin be throwing some subtle shade? We’ll let you be the judge.
“My Way,” which was released in September, features Calvin’s vocals. Typically, he enlists other artists, such as Rihanna and Ellie Goulding, to sing his songs.
