Camila Cabello Breaks Silence After Leaving Fifth Harmony
Getty Images via ABCCamila Cabello has broken her silence following the announcement that she is leaving Fifth Harmony. In a long message posted to Twitter Monday, the singer denies the group’s claims that she only informed them of her decision “through her representatives.”
“I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing,” she writes. “The girls were aware of my feeling through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true.”
She adds that she “did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way” and that she “wishes nothing but the best” for the remaining members.
Camila goes on to list some of her favorite memories with the group and thanks her fans for their support. “Next year I will be working on my own music and giving you a big chunk of my heart,” she writes. “To our amazing fans, I will always be so thankful for the opportunities being this group has given to me.”
