Chainsmokers think they’re “dreaming” after “SNL” booking’s confirmed
Taso PapadakisHere’s the good news: The Chainsmokers will be performing on Saturday Night Live. The bad news, sorta, is that they won’t be performing “Closer.”
The Chainsmokers’ upcoming appearance on SNL, which was announced over the weekend, will take place on April 8; Louis CK will host. The guys tweeted, “Never in our wildest dreams did I ever think this would be possible! But for real, is this actually happening… are we dreaming…”
The duo added, “Louis CK is our favorite comedian. We are playing brand new music on SNL from the album on a show we admired since we were kids!”
As they say in the tweets, the group will be performing material from their new album, Memories: Do Not Open, which comes hits stores April 7. One of those songs will likely be their latest hit, “Paris.”
