DNCE Among Artists Selling Ugly Christmas Sweaters for Charity
CapThat/MOCUgly Christmas sweaters aren’t usually a good thing, but they are when they’re raising money for a good cause.
This season, artists in a number of musical genres have designed holiday sweaters to benefit Musicians On Call, a non-profit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of hospital patients nationwide. It’s called the Deck the Halls Campaign, and among those participating are DNCE, country stars Florida Georgia Line and Sam Hunt, R&B singer Trey Songz and the all-star holiday music collective Band of Merrymakers.
You can purchase the sweaters now online. The designs differ from artist to artist: the one for DNCE, for example, shows cartoon representations of the band’s four members naked except for some strategically-placed Christmas stockings.
Musicians On Call is also running a holiday gift auction on eBay how through December 8, and you can bid on memorabilia and other goodies from artists like Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rachel Platten, The Script and more.
