Justin Timberlake, Ryan Tedder Get Golden Globe Nominations

RCA RecordsJustin Timberlake and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder are among the nominees for the 74th Annual Golden Globe nominations, announced this morning in L.A.

Justin is nominated for Best Original Song from a Motion Picture for his #1, Grammy-nominated hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” from Trolls.  Ryan is nominated for co-writing the song “Faith” with music legend Stevie Wonder, for the animated film Sing.  The song is performed by Stevie and Ariana Grande on the soundtrack.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is nominated in the same category for “How Far I’ll Go,” from the smash animated film Moana.  The song appears in the movie twice: once as sung by the movie’s star, Auli’i Cravalho, and over the closing credits by Alessia Cara.

In a statement, Miranda said,Gracias. Merci. Grazie. Danke sehr. Mahalo….Over two years ago, I was lucky enough to have been given my dream job, writing songs for a Disney animated film…Today, for Moana to be recognized for what we created is truly beyond comprehension.”

He adds, “‘How Far I’ll Go’ not only embodies the spirit of our heroine but the central lesson from the film—dream big, listen to your gut, don’t give up, never forget where you came from, and one day you might just save the world.”

The other nominees are “City of Stars,” from the movie musical La La Land, the leading movie nominee this year, and “Gold,” from the Matthew McConaughey movie of the same name.
