Lady Gaga in the Pink for “Million Reasons” Video
Interscope RecordsLady Gaga has premiered her new video for her latest single “Million Reasons,” and as she promised it’s a sequel to her previous video, “Perfect Illusion.”
The clip begins as “Perfect Illusion” ended, with Gaga collapsed in a heap in the middle of a desert landscape at dusk. She sees some black SUVs coming over the horizon and then the screen goes black. Next thing we see is Gaga in glasses and a baseball cap riding in the SUV. It’s night, and she pulls up in front of a studio of some type.
As Gaga sits in a makeup chair in a robe and her glam squad fusses around her, she spots a small box with a ribbon. She opens it, but we don’t see what’s in it…yet. Next, Gaga’s in full Joanne mode, wearing a big pink hat, pink suit and pumps, playing her oversized Gretsch Falcon guitar and singing “Million Reasons.” That’s intercut with footage of Gaga back in the desert, and we see for the first time what happened between the time she collapsed in a heap, and the time she got into the back of the SUV.
The SUVs pull up and a number of people jump out and start running across the desert to Gaga. They help her up and hug her as she cries. Finally, they help her into the SUV as she puts on sunglasses and a baseball cap, and we’re back to the opening moments of the video.
We also see what’s in the box: it’s a rosary, along with a note saying “Love you, sis.”
