Lorde reveals “Melodrama” release date, new track “Liability”

LAVA/Republic RecordsAfter years of silence, new information from Lorde is now coming fast and furious.

The singer’s sophomore disc Melodrama will arrive June 16, and is available for pre-order now.  Fans will receive a new track called “Liability” instantly with each pre-order.   Like “Green Light,” “Liability” was co-produced by Lorde and Jack Antonoff.

“They say/you’re a little much for me/you’re a liability/you’re a little much for me/So they pull back/Make other plans/I understand/I’m a liability/get you wild, make you leave/I’m a little too much for everyone,” Lorde sings.  It seems she may be musing over why a relationship might have come to an end.

Lorde will perform “Green Light” this weekend on Saturday Night Live.  The song debuted at #1 on Billboard and Twitter’s Twitter 140 chart.
