Getty Images via ABCCamila Cabello announced her departure from Fifth Harmony just days ago, but apparently her solo album has been in the works for a while.
A source tells Entertainment Weekly that Camila has already started recording her solo debut and it’s scheduled for a 2017 release. But it’s not like Camila just went out and scored a solo deal with nobody noticing: the insider says that all the Fifth Harmony members are signed to Epic Records as individual artists.
Camila already had some success with solo project before she left the group. She collaborated with Shawn Mendes on the song “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and is featured on the current Machine Gun Kelly hit “Bad Things.”
