The Chainsmokers Score Fourth Top-10 Hit with “Paris”
Columbia Records/Disruptor RecordsOoh, la la! The Chainsmokers‘ new single, “Paris,” is a hit.
Billboard reports that the duo’s latest release has debuted at #7 on the Hot 100, giving the electronic duo its fourth top-10 hit. Also worth noting: “Paris” debuted higher than their 12-week #1, “Closer” — that entered the chart at #9.
Billboard also notes that thanks to “Paris,” “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” The Chainsmokers have now been in the top 10 for 38 straight weeks. In ten more weeks, they’ll tie the record among duos or groups. It’s currently held by Ace of Base, who were in the top 10 for 48 straight weeks from 1993-1994.
