Train Debuts New Song, “Working Girl”

Brendan WalterIf waiting until next month for Train’s new album is making you impatient, the band has something to keep you happy while you wait. The album, a girl a bottle a boat, is available for pre-order today and pre-orders include the brand new song “Working Girl” as an instant download.

Train also has released a lyric video for the song, which features frontman Pat Monahan writing out the lyrics while sitting on a tour bus. The song is about a couple laying out their requirements for a relationship. “I’m in love with a working girl,” Pat repeats on the chorus.

A girl a bottle a boat comes out January 27. In a statement, Pat says the album has been “the most fun and fulfilling” of all the Train albums.

“Every album I’ve ever been a part of writing has had a fair amount of difficulty,” he says. “Wanting to touch people’s lives is a daunting task but when it happens it makes all of the blood sweat and tears worth it.”
