Zayn Malik Debuts Edgy Shoe Collection with Giuseppe Zanotti

NABILZayn Malik is kicking off the new year with some new kicks — he’s teamed with with designer Giuseppe Zanotti on a shoe line.

The designs include army green high-top sneakers and black biker boots. Zayn tells Vogue he first met Zanotti during Paris Fashion Week last year and they bonded over their similar approach to style.

“I like things which are a bit dark and weird, and Mr. Zanotti isn’t afraid to play with those elements either,” Zayn says.

Zayn adds that he wanted to combine that “darker aesthetic” with something timeless.

“I wanted to mix up the iconic rock ’n’ roll styles like boots, which are quite hard, with organic colors,” he says. “I think the mix makes them feel quite classic.”

Next month, Zayn will debut his other fashion collaboration: a clothing line with Versus Versace.
