Where do I begin – I guess I can start with my dodgy accent. I have lived in three different countries and six different states. I spent most of my childhood in England but have always considered the Midwest my American home. I do value my British roots though. There is something about that tiny rain-soaked island that produces so much amazing music. But it has to be said, the best British bands didn’t come from Liverpool. Come on, it’s Manchester all the way. Truth be told, if I could time travel, I would go back to the Hacienda night club and park myself there for about a decade. I was lucky enough to grow up in a house full of music, with parents who took me to so many live shows. My first first concert I ever went to, was Blondie with Duran Duran opening. I was then and forever will be a huge supporter of women who rock and a lover of all things retro!
I am not a music snob by any stretch. Music that speaks to you can come from a top selling artist or be a local act that only a handful of people know about. As long as you have the “time of your life” listening to them, who cares. So expect to hear nothing but positive vibes and a variety of brilliant music when you hang out with me Monday-Friday 10-3 on Live 99.9.
